Group Therapy Programs

Term 1 2026

therapist-led group programs

Our Term 1 Group Therapy programs for toddlers, children and teenagers combine evidence-based therapy with motivating activities such as dance, ball sports, movement, cooking, creative arts, nature play and more.

Programs are delivered at our Mill Park clinic and community locations across the northern suburbs.

Our approach to group therapy:

Our programs are intentionally designed to embed evidence-informed therapy into meaningful, play-based activities. Each session is structured to support engagement, participation and skill development in ways that align with your child’s goals and developmental needs.

We offer a range of therapist-led group therapy programs throughout the year.

Each program is designed with a clear therapeutic purpose, embeds evidence-informed strategies, and provides opportunities to develop skills within fun, motivating activities.

We contact you to book a screening appointment

If your child is new to Emble (or hasn’t accessed services with us in a while), our team will contact you to offer a free 20-minute screening consult with our Group Therapy Coordinator (allied health professional).

Screening appointments can be:

  • in-person, or
  • online (videoconference)
Screening consult: we discuss goals & check suitability

During your screening appointment we will:

  • learn about your child’s strengths and support needs
  • discuss your goals for group therapy (including broader goals such as NDIS goals, where relevant)
  • help you make an informed decision about whether group therapy is the right fit

We consider:

  • developmental readiness
  • group dynamics
  • safety and support needs
  • therapist-to-child ratios
  • alignment with individual goals
Your child is offered a place

If the program is suitable and availability aligns, we will confirm your child’s place in the term-time group program.

You’ll then receive next steps regarding enrolment and any required documentation.

Pre-program assessment (to measure outcomes)

Before the program begins, we complete a pre-program assessment to:

  • clarify goals
  • establish baseline skills
  • support meaningful outcome measurement
Post-program assessment & outcomes shared

At the completion of the program, the lead allied health professional facilitating the group will:

  • complete a post-program assessment
  • communicate outcomes and progress from your child’s participation in the program
