early childhood early intervention in melbourne
supporting your
child's development
from the very beginning
how we support you
At Emble, we provide early intervention support for young children and families across Melbourne’s north-east.
If you’re feeling unsure about your child’s development, communication or behaviour, you’re not alone. Many families notice differences early on and aren’t always sure what to do next.
At Emble, we work with young children and their families in a way that is practical, collaborative and grounded in everyday life.
Importantly, we don’t just work with your child – we work in partnership with you.
Because the biggest progress happens in everyday moments, not just during sessions.
when families reach out
You might be noticing:
- Delays in speech, language or communication
- Differences in play or social interaction
- Challenges with behaviour, emotions or regulation
- Feeding or mealtime difficulties
- Delays in movement, coordination or motor skills
- Concerns raised by kinder, childcare, your GP or a Maternal Child and Health Nurse.
Or you may simply feel, something doesn’t feel quite right.
You don’t need to have all the answers to get started.

how support works at emble
Every child and family is different. We offer flexible models of care to ensure support is coordinated, meaningful and aligned with your needs.
key worker model (early intervention)
For many families, support is delivered through a Key Worker approach, aligned with the National Best Practice Framework.
A Key Worker is a lead therapist or educator who:
- Works closely with your child and family
- Acts as your main point of contact
- Coordinates support across the wider team
- Embeds strategies into everyday routines
Support is primarily delivered in the environments where your child lives, learns and plays – such as home, kinder or community settings with access to clinic spaces when needed.
multidisciplinary therapy
Some families choose to work directly with multiple clinicians, depending on their child’s needs.
We offer:
- Speech Pathology
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Dietetics
- Feeding Therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Art Therapy
- Group Therapy Programs
Our team works collaboratively, meaning:
- There is a team around your child and family
- Services are coordinated, not fragmented
- Clinicians share insights and knowledge
- Support is integrated across all areas of development
assessments and early identification
We offer a range of assessments to better understand your child’s development and guide next steps.
This may include:
- Developmental assessments
- Autism assessments
- Speech and language assessments
- Functional capacity assessments
Assessment helps us build a clear understanding of your child’s strengths, needs and goals.
working in partnerships with families
You are the most important part of your child’s development.
At Emble, therapy isn’t something that happens separately from your everyday life – it’s something we build together.
We work in partnership with parents, caregivers and the important people in your child’s life to:
- Build confidence in supporting your child
- Embed strategies into everyday routines
- Create opportunities for learning in real-life moments
- Ensure progress continues beyond sessions
This approach is sometimes referred to as parent coaching, but it’s not about telling you how to parent. You already know your child best.
Our role is to bring our clinical expertise alongside your knowledge of your child, so together we can build strategies that feel practical, achievable and meaningful.
