therapy for children
supporting your child
to thrive in everyday life
how we support children
At Emble Allied Health, we provide therapy for children in Mill Park, Bundoora and Melbourne’s north-east.
The primary school years are a time of growth, change and increasing independence. Children are developing their communication, relationships, identity and understanding of themselves.
For some children, the environments around them, such as school, social settings or daily routines may not always align with how they experience and engage with the world.
At Emble, we focus on understanding each child as an individual and supporting them to participate in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
what you might be noticing
You might notice your child:
- Finding it hard to follow instructions or keep up with learning
- Struggling to express themselves clearly
- Finding friendships or social situations challenging
- Experiencing big emotions or becoming overwhelmed
- Avoiding certain tasks or environments
- Losing confidence or becoming easily frustrated
You don’t need to have a clear label for what’s going on – we’ll help you understand what’s happening and what might help.

- Draws on the wider team when needed
- Keeps support consistent and aligned
multidisciplinary therapy
Some families choose to work directly with multiple clinicians, depending on their child’s needs.
We offer:
- Speech Pathology
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Dietetics
- Feeding Therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Art Therapy
- Group Therapy Programs
Our team works collaboratively, meaning:
- There is a team around your child and family
- Services are coordinated, not fragmented
- Clinicians share insights and knowledge
- Support is integrated across all areas of development
assessments and diagnostics
We offer assessments to better understand your child’s strengths, needs and how best to support them.
Assessment is not about labelling – it’s about gaining clarity and guiding meaningful next steps.
This may include:
- Functional Capacity Assessments (NDIS)
- Autism assessments
- Cognitive assessments
- Speech, language & literacy assessments
- Motor and functional assessments
- Developmental assessments
We’ll guide you through whether an assessment is helpful and what it might look like – there’s no expectation to know this before getting started.
working in partnership, in everyday life
You know your child best.
At Emble, we work in partnership with you and the people in your child’s life to ensure support is practical, meaningful and sustainable.
We focus not just on what happens in sessions, but on what happens in everyday life, embedding strategies into real routines so skills carry across home, school and community, and progress continues beyond sessions.
We don’t expect children to adapt to environments that don’t work for them. Instead, we focus on understanding each child and supporting their participation in ways that feel achievable and authentic – whether that involves adjusting environments, building skills, or supporting confidence and self-understanding.
Support happens in the environments that matter most, and we work alongside families, educators and support teams to keep strategies consistent across settings.
Our approach focuses on building the capacity of the people around your child, so support is embedded into everyday life – not just delivered in sessions. While this is sometimes described as parent coaching, at Emble it extends beyond this through shared knowledge, collaboration and coordinated support.
